Images for the server.

Just a little competition if you so please.
Basically the server has a bunch of images displayed for different purposes and rather than just customise them myself I thought I'd open it up for everyone to make a contribution and we can decide whose we think will look the best.

So here are the images currently on there.


sik_logo.png - This image is displayed in the welcome window when a user joins the server.


countdown_3.png - This image is the first of a series of 4 images displayed in the race start countdown.


countdown_2.png - This image is the second in a series of 4 images displayed in the race start countdown.


countdown_1.png - This image is the third in a series of 4 images displayed in the race start countdown.


countdown_0.png - This image is the last in a series of 4 images displayed in the race start countdown.

One quick not regarding the four countdown images. I would recommend applying transparency so that the images are not displayed as raw rectangles on screen.


hurry.png - This image is displayed in the final moments of a race to remind players the race is about to end.


specnext.png and specnext_hi.png respectively - specnext is the image displayed indicating you can press right to spectate the next player, specnext_hi is simply the image displayed instead during key press.


specprev.png and specprev_hi.png respectively - Simply the same as specnext and specnext_hi


progress_health_bg.png and progress_health.png respectively - progress_health_bg is the background for the health bar displayed in the top right, must be this width. progress_health.png is a 1 pixel wide image replicated according to the players health to fill the background bar.


progress_speed_bg.png and progress_speed.png respectively - Similar to progress_health_bg and progress_health except represent the players speed


title.png - Displayed at the start of the race gamemode, usually on join. Simply represents the race gamemode.


travelling.png - Shown during map change. Can have a black background as the background during this time is black.





Thats all the images for now. Good luck to anyone feeling up to making something, I shall be adding my submissions upon completion. I suggest a 2 day period before you designs should be completed. (You do not have to design something for all of the images)

well, i love the start logo's, ive never seen the login one, the h in hurry up could be better, and the race one could be a bit different, may get around to customize something later on

Ah wonderful just needa install Photoshop again and all good.

I will definitely add somethings, but yeah certain things take certain time  

EDIT: Oh yes one more thing are there any other images we can add, I imagine adding images shouldn't be too hard not sure :s

here, if we can add this anywhere,

i think black and red seem to be kinda our colour i find that it suits us better

Whereabouts would you be interested in adding images?

And Full, could probably use that, but then I would suggest incorporating it into an image....think about actually what the image could be used for rather than just create a random fractal.

So is Black And Red going to be our trademark colours?

well, look at the site, its black and the admin colour is red, most of the emotes are black and red and, i think it suits us, i dont know why really

I always felt that black and green were our "Trademark" colours so to speak.

Unfortunately its quite pixelated, but I can't find a good way around that at this point

It can't really be any larger then that either, as especially on lower resolutions it'd take up too much of the screen.

It does look a lot better in game though.

when I was on there I coulden't see shit, the images take up 1/4 of the damn screen -_-

I don't intend on putting any new images overlaying the screen.

Just wanted to put some form of constant reminder as to what server people are on. I think I've done that now.
So now its more refining the images we have, and ofcourse customising scripts etc.
