Title: Unban Request: Slash
Post by: Slash on September 09, 2009, 08:38:20 PM
Ingame name: Slash
Reason?: I commented about having the second best time to an obvious hacker named "Dehehney"( something like that) but no reason was actually written with the ban (banned by Ra0)
I should be unbanned because I don't cheat, I don't even think I was speced by Ra0, and now that I've registered here I might as well apply if I am unbanned.

Well from what I understand RaO banned you for finishing a race impossibly fast, beating previous toptimes by 20 seconds or so.
For now I am trusting RaO's judgement but I will look into the time to confirm whether or not it is truly impossible.

Ok RaO claims you admitted to cheating, looking at the logs you did not do any such thing, but your commend "2nd best to speedhacker" probably was misunderstood.

Ok.It can be my mistake, but i saw some things that looked cheat
First, you finished First and made 10 or more seconds faster than a record i know that is good.
Then you said, something like ''Second hacker best time'' that is yours, and then i thought yourself confissed you were cheating.
You wasnt winning the race when i pressed tab.And then you finish so fastly with a high advantage, and everybody in server saying cheater, hacker etc.

Sorry for didnt confirm it at all,but these signs looked you cheated and then i banned you.
Demiveil, Run in ClosingRace2009 and try beat or be near of him toptime if you want confrim

If it was a mistake my sinceries apologies, next time i will be sure when he is hacking or not. ;)

You were always a good racer and never cheated, looks like a misunderstanding to me.

I said something like "second best to a speedhacker" lol, the guy with the 1st record did the map in like 4.5 seconds rofl, his name should be something like "Dehehner as I mentioned, he has other unreal record times on maps, hacker for sure. I think the reason why I won so fast is I never died, that map has lots of barrels and I kepy my distance from drivers and barrels why being in 1st place. Gg and thanks for unbanning me I guess. As for some of those people saying i cheat, it's usually those laggy latinos which some of them themselves actually hack and most just lag very bad, bad gfx card and internet. Those are the people that generate the "waiting for other players" message. And thanks for the unban

omg, well, truthfully slash, i was waiting for something like this, i know you are not a cheat, i speced you a lot when you started coming into the server, i know we have had our problems and such, which has been sorted out.

RaO i assure you, slash does not hack, he is a very good racer, excellent really, one of the best ive seen come into the server, im glad to see that you have been unbanned

As far as i can see worldwide overall I'm somewhere up there but I can still be better due to performance limitations I have with my pc, I can't seem to get past 47fps ingame. If any of you have any ideas/solutions I should perhaps make a thread about it.

heh, it's not your pc man.
The server has a FPS limit of 50, we had it at 60 before but certian people were able to pull away slowly.

Is there a command like fps_max in Valve games to set your own max fps? I get this lag if you could call it where at certain points I can get around 45 fps, but then immediately/suddenly drop to around 35 fps. That can't be good in any way. And I came up with a little idea reading about the other unban request here, I think another requirement would be to list as much information about their computer as possible, cpu seeming to be the most important. I myself have an AMD 5200 X dual core and I also had to install the dual core optimizer because I almost got myself banned from another server for what looked like speedhacking. 29fps in a 25fps locked MTA:SA Race lol, other weird things happened too though.

your own FPS setter?

ahahahaha, sry dude, but that was funny.

You realize that would give lots of players an advantage over others?
And yeah I'll add computer specs to the ban guidelines, good idea.

Aw frick lol, no solution in sight to my little problem so far. Only other thing I can think of is to change the bit of the resolution down to 16 from 32, but I use 32 bit for monitor display properties and no problems there. but as for fps setter if it could only be configured as vertical sync then it wouldn't be too bad.

Manufacturer: ( 2 Koreans?)
System manufacturer ( 2 Koreans?)
Processor:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory:
2048MB RAM (667Mhz DDR2)
Hard Drive:
320 GB ( Seagate 7200 RPM SATA)
Video Card:
ATI Radeon HD 4350
Monitor: Emachines 17" CRT (max res 1152X864 32 bit 75hz refresh) <-- what I have display settings configured to.
Plug and Play Monitor
Sound Card:
Realtek HD Audio output
Speakers/Headphones:
Keyboard:
USB Root Hub
Mouse:
USB Root Hub
Mouse Surface:
Operating System:
Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp.080413-2111)
Motherboard: Asus M2N-X (0701 or 0806 bios, not sure which one)
Computer Case: Piece of shit? it has poor air circulation which causes overheating.
400W power supply and fan, the air coming from the fan there generally does feel cool so i'm not sure if new ps is the answer.

To date literally every single program on my computer is up to date except for Windows Live Messenger. I read something on mtasa where the developers reccomended the DirectX SDK for testing, not sure if that would do any good. After all of the essential services and everything else loads at startup I have about 260mb pagefile usage and around 1700mb free of RAM.

Oh yeah I forgot about the Anti-Lagg pack :)

Those programs should help increase your FPS a bit :D

Ah ok, well I forgot my ingame settings if it's still worth mentioning.

resolution: 1152X864X32
Quality: Low
Draw Distance: Max 16 out of 16
MIP Mapping: on
AA: Off
Widescreen: off

Well i don't know what good those programs can do, compressing the gta.img file to 50% is not the answer since that file will still have to unpack and decompress those files when they need to be accessed. Unless there is someone who uses this and can prove me wrong that there are no problems.

slash, why not make another topic about how to stop being laggy

Yes I use it and your dead wrong, it makes you lagg less because it reduces the graphics quality a bit :P

Well I noticed with my computer that the RAM never releases fully after closing any applications ( this happens with MTA 1.0, and probably other applications). The pagefile also builds up continuously after use. not sure if this happens to anyone else but I suspect memory leak of some kind. A while ago I messed with a memory tweaking program called FreshRAM (bad idea), anyhow I gave it to a friend and he was pissed at me because it said it gave him a memory leak. I probably have one myself now for being so foolish and stupid, but there's got to be redemption, an actual fix (FreshRAM had that as a function).

Yeah no doubt those problems lead to the lovely random crashes it has.
Well, did you try reinstalling 1.0?
and if that doesn't work, your OS?
Title: Re: Banned for no reason
Post by: Slash on September 12, 2009, 12:38:03 AM
MTA 1.0 does randomly crash, that is a definite sign of memory leak? I also get random minimizes while playing "steam based games" most often with CSS ( certain server(s) in particular, but I have no trojans or anything close to that on my comp. What about installation of GTA:SA? my .iso came with a crack and portugese read me( I used to have Hoodlum with seemingly no problems). I can't properly uninstall GTA:SA because it can't seem to find the uninstall exe in system32, the shortcut info for it refers to rundll32.exe. I have a little security program called Comodo which I believe has some sort of anti viral protection on vital files and folders so my .iso/installation of GTASA may be just fine. Boy what a confusing issue I have. Defrag is apparenly not neccesary although a client file and a few models and one map are fragmented.
