Title: Forum Problem (for Poland)
Post by: Dan12345 on February 28, 2023, 03:33:29 AM
Hey there SiK!

I just wanted to access the site after long long time, and this comes up: (https://i.imgur.com/IndKQ1a.png)

The photo translates to: This site cannot connect to the server www.fullysik.net is using an unsupported connection.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

I'm using Hyperbeam Virtual Machine (hyperbeam.com) from Finland to write this post. Can anybody fix this? I wanted to download some maps from here.

Cheers
-Jacob

That probably happened because I was messing around with the SSL certs.
I tried to fix it myself by deleting the user SSL certs and I submitted a trouble ticket.

Let me know if what I did fixed it or if it's still messed up.

I don't know why it's showing wwwRedirect....

Did you try http://www.fullysik.net/index.php, fullysik.net & www.fullysik.net/index.php?

Also, try clearing your browsers cashe, it might be trying to use the old messed up SSL Cert.

Hey again!

When i type fullysik.net in address bar, it doesn't redirect me to index but to: https://www.fullysik.net/index.php?wwwRedirect and the problem is still there. Tried from multiple browsers, which I  never used the website and the same things happens.

It's a weird problem. I don't know what's the cause of the problem. There's nothing blocked in the hosts file, etc.

Also it's sad that i can't download anything from here by just pasting the link to the mirror download. I hoped somebody would share some maps at Mediafire so in case problems like this, would've been downloadable easily. I could theretically download it here on Hyperbeam VPS but it just doesn't allow it - it's just a browser with high ammount of internet speed (2k speed)

Try to run as incognito, it’s really weird because I use Opera as well and I never had that problem  ???

Did you try removing the "s" in "https"?
Should on be "http".
HTTPS currently doesn't work, but I'm trying to get it fixed.

OK, got it.

I'm getting a valid SSL cert installed.

Hopefully that will fix it.

Hey there!

It works, but it's all white and kind of broken (in terms of design). Finally. You fixed it Demon. Thanks alot. I'll try to navigate nevertheless

Maybe not quite. Accessing maps thread gives me this:

Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.

Hey there Demon!

Not quite, sorry for late response I was busy!

So now, appearantly this message shows up - when I want to browse forum - or downloads:

Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.

And when I download some things from the download tab on the website (ex.: MTA SA Race Map Converter) it downloads, but the file is corrupted for some reason, or sometimes it says just Access Denied!

Would be great if you would look into it still!

I am unsure how to fix this besides flat out disabling it, I have noticed it happens from time to time.
Maybe try another browser, a VPN, or wait a day or 2.

I don't think it's about VPN this time, it's just when i click Forum tab, website again turns into "Unprotected" and im kind of logged out when I click other tabs (only doesn't happen when i click My Messages and Home, Downloads). Maybe the code in the website is still broken a little bit that prevents me - logged in user to browse forums.

By the way - I tried to login in that "unprotected" forum tab but it shows the same message like I described here. And no, it doesn't work - and waiting wouldn't work either. I'll try from Hyperbeam once again.

Update: That unprotected "forum" thing warps me back to "Home" suggesting something isn't quite right  :(

Wondering about that too. I guess the best thing would be to create a Discord server or advertise it more than forums. Like lukum told me that forums are outdated now, everybody uses Discord. If SiK could import somehow all the maps that have been approved on the server (via. forum) on some Google Drive and then make links on Discord, or somebody who has premium Discord to upload them without any limits would've been great! All love y'all <3

Actually figured it out guys...

So you can bypass this by simply clicking on this thing displayed on the photo

And forum will work as intended. Quite weird, but heh i found the solution! Yes!

Glad you found a workaround.

This entire website is held together with duct tape and glue.

I'm not sure, we have a lot of good exclusive maps, interesting idea.

Generally Discord is just way better, and you could drive new traffic into it. Almost 99% of pro racers use Discord. Also SiK server along with GTA.RU are the most legendary servers, sad that no pros play on it too much. I had so many memories with players on SiK servers, and loved every minute there. Hope clan never dies  8)
